Provo Tabernacle Footing and Foundation Design - Rehak
RFP, Proposal, Project Management Plan, Half way Report, Report, Poster, Presentation
Description:
The Provo Tabernacle was destroyed by fire on December 17, 2010. If the building were to be restored, the existing masonry walls and rubble footings would need to be structurally stabilized and upgraded. Include in the design an excavated basement. It is your task to design a footing and basement wall combination that will support the future loads that the building might encounter. Some design information will be provided by the Temple and Special Projects Department and Reavely Engineering. There has been no announcement on the Church’s plans for the Tabernacle. This is only a potential design alternative that will make a good design project.
