Utah Valley Regional Medical Center- Soil Mixing

Sponsor: Nicholson Construction

Description: Due to potential for liquefaction in the area underneath the proposed expansion of the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center ground improvement underneath the structure is required. Ground improvement by soil mixing has been selected as the best alternative for this project. This project will include analysis and comparison of strength data for the underlying materials at varying depths, as well as an overall site analysis for the entire footprint of proposed structures creating a 'heat map' of improved strengths for columns underneath the building.
